Welcome to St Peter’s Smithills Dean.
We are a Church of England, voluntary aided co-educational day school, for 4 to 11 year-old children in the parish of St Peter’s Halliwell. All our work is routed in our Mission and Vision Statements. The life of our school is permeated by the example, values and teaching of Jesus Christ, who taught us to respect each other’s uniqueness.
St Peter’s Smithills Dean CEP School is highly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We have developed a reputation within the community for establishing a secure, caring and industrious environment, in which children are encouraged to achieve their full potential. We work hard to ensure that all our children acquire a high level of self-esteem and knowledge of themselves. We aim to provide a wide range of balanced learning opportunities for all children to enable them grow into independent and responsible citizens. We also aim to provide a caring environment for your child. We believe that we can only achieve the best for your child by a close co-operation between home and school. Staff at school are always happy to talk to you about any aspects of your child’s welfare and education.
Admission to the school is controlled Bolton Council. The school has seven classes, one for each year group. The Local Education Authority is Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, Childrens Services and is located in Paderborn House, Civic Centre, Bolton, BL1 1JW and can be contacted on Bolton (01204) 333333.
