RSE and PSHE
Our school is committed to providing high-quality RSE and PSHE that supports pupils’ wellbeing, personal development, and safeguarding. RSE specifically is taught as part of our whole-school approach to PSHE education and is fully aligned with statutory requirements (DfE 2020; updated 2025/26). We use the HeartSmart curriculum as our core programme because it promotes emotional literacy, resilience, healthy relationships, and positive decision-making. This scheme of work focuses on the Heart Smart High Five, encouraging children to understand their emotions, and control them to make 'Heart Smart' choices. Children are helped on this journey by Boris the Robot.
