What is St. Peter's like?
St. Peter's is a wonderful place to be! Don't just take our word for it, our most recent Church of England Inspections (SIAMS) said this:
"The deeply embedded Christian vision, and associated values, result in a loving and supportive school culture. Staff model, and pupils are taught, how to treat others exceptionally well."
On a more practical, day-to-day, basis, here is what you need to know:
The School Day
St. Peter's opens its doors at 8.45am every day. Children come into class then and we expect everyone in and ready to learn from 8.55am at the latest when registers will close.
In KS1 children the day ends at 3.20pm and in KS2 the day ends at 3.25pm.
So in a typical school day children are in school 6 hours and 35 minutes in KS1, and 6 hours and 40 minutes in KS2.
KS1: 32 hours and 55 minutes per week.
KS2: 33 hours and 20 minutes per week.
This is what a typical day at St. Peter's might be like:

Here are the latest survey results from our pupils and parents. What do they think our school is like?
Recently we have been working with TEP (The Engagement Platform) to survey families and pupils. The latest survey results are below:
Pupil survey overview - via TEP (Autumn 2025)
Families survey overview - via TEP (Autumn 2025)
Parent and Carer survey results 24-25
Parent and Carer survey results 23-24
We’re pleased to share that our school has been recognised as a Top 5% Primary school nationally for Leadership, Employee Inclusion and Line management in the Autumn 2025 census with The Engagement Platform (TEP). We have also been recognised as a Top 10% school nationally for Pupil Effort, Employee Satisfaction and Employee Agency.
Engagement is a powerful tool we are using to shape our school improvement over time. This recognition reflects the consistent work of our employees, pupils and leaders to create a school where young people feel motivated, included and supported.
We’re proud of the progress we’re making and committed to continuing this journey. Thank you to our whole school community for making this possible.
